Additive manufacturing of continuous-fiber reinforced thermoplastic materials is studied. Modeling and path planning for thermoplastic materials reinforced with carbon or glass is being developed.
In this project, 3D multi-functional structures made out of spatially changing nano-composites using 3D printing, Additive manufacturing technologies by optimizing the structures design, developing path planning algorithms and 3D printing, additive manufacturing of these structures directly from their optimum designs.
